It all started in...

1997. Kothenia and Kowanda Gunn decided to open a wing restaurant of their own, called T'Wanz Wings. The first year in business proved to be very successful, but the following years weren’t all puppies and kittens, leaving the business with only one owner, Kothenia. After a couple of years, confusion developed as to whether T'Wanz Wings was a Chinese restaurant, so Kothenia, now widely known as “Mrs. K” decided to change the name to K's Buffalo Wings. Throughout the years, Mrs. K continued to serve quality buffalo wings along with her world famous baked potato.

Today, she spends her time traveling and learning to make different dishes in various countries. Her favorite place to visit is Africa, where she learned to cook common dishes such as Light Soup and Fufu. 

K's Buffalo Wings is expanding each year and in 2018, Mrs. K’s daughter, Alexia Auston, opened her own successful K's Buffalo Wings in Clinton, Mississippi, which was relocated to Memphis, TN in 2022.
